SB 6-7: Quick Hits: Cutler and Barber

I recently watched a video on NFL network regarding Jay Cutler and the Bear's outlook for the epcoming season. In the video, many physical traits were discussed (footwork, etc.). But the biggest concern I have for Cutler is the mental side of his game. As a bronco, I never felt like he had the competitive drive to win football games. He is a fine talented young player but I would not like to have him on my team when the going gets rough. I think that this mentality of "Aww shucks" is due to his lack of winning at Vanderbuilt. Prior to last season, Cutler hadn't had a winning season since high school. This takes a toll on the psyche of a QB. Now that he has experienced a winning season and a playoff win, Cutler must take the next step and play through injuries that cost his team Super Bowl births.

As far as Tiki Barber is concerned, I am excited about the prospect of an older RB returning to the game. From a writer's standpoint I think it can be compelling, but I think that Barber will land in Washington and gain about 600-700 yards and 5 TD's.
